I have the same one he does and I agree for the same reason.
Plus it will save you a ton of money if you get into a crash and can prove it wasn’t your fault.

battery? USB plug? Is the picture ok at night? I keep saying I am going to get one, because people are nutty, but there are about a billion of them on the market and prices seem to range from a few bucks to a few hundred bucks with reviews bouncing all over...

Battery life is only a few minutes, uses a mini-usb (I have mine hardwired), picture is good at night but a bit grainy.
There are better ones out there, the market’s pretty flooded. I got the G1W because I’ve seen others with them, seen the quality, and the price was right.
If you get one, make sure it is a newer model with capacitors instead of battery (they tend to overheat) from a reputable seller.
